DESCRIPTION: Really slick unit. The Yaskawa E7L Drive Bypass includes an E7 drive along with a dual contactor bypass as a means of allowing the motor to operate directly from the AC line voltage at full speed. Excellent way to make a building much more efficient. Yaskawa calls it a 3 horsepower drive. However, when we look at the rated current and voltage output, we calculate it at 6 horsepower. We would tend to call it a 5 hp drive. Looks like Yaskawa is giving it a very conservative rating.
