These are normally used to control AC loads in place of a mechanical relay.  There is no problem with wearing out the contacts like a regular relay does.  Thus it can be used where you need to cycle power many times per minute.  This unit is controlled with a DC voltage between 3 and 32 volts and it turns on an off an AC voltage up to 120 volts and maximum current of 10 amps
